Medline MP8, MP10, MP12 monitors are designed to measure physiological parameters such as ECG, NIAD, IAD, S. O., AG, SpO2, TEMP, RESP, PE, EtCO2 and BIS, PR and CO2 monitoring, as well as automatic recognition and display of parameters, in accordance with the connected sensors and modules. The functions also include the display of the respiratory oxygenation diagram.

The monitors are designed for use in: newborns, children and adults.

The monitors are designed for use in medical institutions, in general and operating departments, as well as in intensive care.

The monitor is intended for use by a specialist doctor.

Operating principle of the monitor (s):

1) ECG monitoring

The ECG measures the electrical activity of the patient's heart and displays it on the monitor in the form of a wave and values to accurately assess the physiological status of the patient. To obtain an accurate measured value, the ECG lead must be correctly placed.

This monitor is suitable for ECG monitoring in 3, 5 and 12 leads. Different waveforms can be displayed depending on the different wires.

2) Monitoring of RESP

The monitor measures respiration according to the values of the thoracic impedance between the two electrodes and displays the channel of the respiration waveform on the screen.

3) PR monitoring

The PR value counts arterial pulsations resulting from the mechanical activity of the heart, in beats per minute (beats/min). The pulse display is possible based on the measured SpO2 signal or the NIAD signal. The displayed PR value is marked and color-coded according to its source.

4) SpO2 monitoring

The SpO2 parameters measure the oxygen saturation of the blood, that is, the percentage of total oxyhemoglobin. When 97% of the total number of hemoglobin molecules combines with oxygen in the red blood cells of arterial blood, this blood will have 97% SpO2, and at the same time the monitor will show the SpO2 value of 97%. This value shows the percentage of oxygen-carrying hemoglobin molecules that make up oxyhemoglobin. Additional SpO2 parameters can also provide a pulse rate signal and a PLETH wave. With the help of SpO2 monitoring, it is possible to screen for critical congenital heart disease (CCHD) in newborns within 24-48 hours after birth.

5) Monitoring of NIAD

Non-invasive blood pressure measurement (NIAD) uses the oscillation method and is available for adults, children and newborns. The oscillation method measures the average blood pressure to calculate systolic pressure and diastolic pressure.

6) Monitoring the TEMP.

The monitor has two temperature measurement channels; body temperature can be measured using temperature sensors. The probe should be applied to the surface of the skin or directly, depending on the type of probe you bought. The recommended minimum measurement time is 1 minute, otherwise the measured value will be inaccurate.

7) CO2 monitoring

The CO2 measurement modes are divided into side and main modes.

In the side flow measurement mode, the respiratory gases inside the patient's respiratory tract are sampled with a constant flow and analyzed by a remote CO2 sensor integrated into the measurement system.

For the measurement mode in the main flow, CO2 sensors are installed at the connection of the air duct, which is directly introduced into the patient's respiratory system.

8) AG Monitoring

The AG module can measure the anesthetic gas and respiratory gas of the patient during anesthesia, as well as provide a value at the end of exhalation (Et) and a fraction of the inhaled (Fi) value of the following gases:

  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) – measured value - EtCO2 (the maximum exhaled value detected during breathing).
  • O2-oxygen.
  • Nitrous oxide (N2O).
  • MAC is the minimum alveolar concentration, which is the main indicator showing the depth of inhalation anesthesia.

− Respiratory Tract Respiratory Rate (AWRR) - breathing time per minute

  • - AA values for respiration at the end of exhalation (Et) and inhalation fraction (Fi):
  • - Halothane: HAL
  • - Isoflurane: ISO
  • - Enflurane: ENF
  • - Sevoflurane: SEV
  • - Desflurane: DES

9) BIS monitoring

BIS monitoring captures EEG signals for displaying the bispectral index on the main screen using the method of analyzing the frequency spectrum and the power spectrum. The BIS index, the quality of the EEG signal and other parameters are used to assess the level of consciousness of the patient and, accordingly, to judge the degree of anesthesia.

10) IAD monitoring

Invasive blood pressure monitoring (IAD) allows you to monitor blood pressure, central venous pressure, pulmonary blood pressure, pressure in the left atrium, pressure in the right atrium and intracranial pressure.

The monitor can be used directly to measure blood vessel pressure (diastolic pressure, systolic pressure, mean pressure).

11) C. O. Monitoring

In the invasive measurement of cardiac output, cardiac output and other hemodynamic parameters are measured using the usual thermodilution method. The monitor can measure blood temperature, calculate cardiac output and perform hemodynamic calculations.

In accordance with Annex IX of the Directive of the Council of the European Economic Community 93/42/EEC, the product is assigned safety class 2b.
